I went to a wedding in Palm Springs this weekend and decided to take photos of my Friday Cocktail Hour outfit at the awesome Ace Hotel . I finally found a long length blazer that fits me . Thanks Zara . I also decided to commandeer this zippy scooter for my outfit photo purposes . I want one !

This is the second look for the day and we shot this in the Mesquite Sand Dunes of Death Valley . The same place they shot the sand dunes scenes in Star Wars . This was an hour before sun down where it was so dark that you can't even see your hand in front of your own face .
I like this button up for it's versatility . Sturdy fabric thats casual enough to wear unbuttoned but also have plenty of interesting textures and patterns to keep it interesting while buttoned up . It's perfect for the fall season in Los Angeles where it's still 100 degrees in October . Kama's sold separately .

Recently , I teamed up with a new premium streetwear fashion brand called "Ntrl Rbls," short for Natural Rebels . This top definitely makes a statement about the brand that it represents with bold and striking lines that are paired with smaller but beautiful details . Showing heavy influence from martial arts apparel and Japanese material , I decided to go with a little bit more of a fantasy warrior like vibe instead of a street look that this top was design for . With high quality stitching and premium material , its a bit higher on the price point but you're getting exactly what you're paying for . Thanks Heyyehblog , Alyssa Bernal , and Ru(areyou) for coming out and standing in the heat with me with this heater .

I rarely wear a suit and I rarely post photos with my girlfriend. Above and below are a lot of both those things . I also rarely smile and theres a little bit of that going in the last photo . but only barely .
I've dressed up by dressing down so much for the last decade of my life that I was recently thrilled for a reason to buy this suit . One , so that I could take these photos , and then second , because I had a bunch of events to go to where suits aren't required but generally encouraged . Much like deodorant and smiling .
Courtney and I generally spend a lot of our weekend time with each other meandering away with our cameras but this time we invited our talented friend Tee Watcharothon to document us playing dress up . Thanks Tee !

WEST COAST WEAR
For someone who grew up in southern California , I have a distant cousin relationship to the beach and all of its glory . I didn't come here much as a kid and through out college , it was a blur of bonfires , red cups , and terrible hot dogs . In those years I didn't see the beach or water as much i felt the sand and heard the ocean on surround sound behind complete darkness and awfully mixed drinks .
I love the beach in theory . Its beautiful in photos in movies when you can sit comfortably on a couch in a temperature controlled room and don't have to deal with the crowds or the sand . The sand is everywhere for days . I don't go often , but I like the option that I COULD if the mood was to ever strike me .
It makes sense I guess that in my adult life I basically only go to the beach for photoshoots and video shoots . This particular one was done around 7:30 am on a Saturday . We were proudly the first one's in the parking lot .

Also , Thanks to all the friends that came out to see me in their busy New Yorker life , which is said to be a more manly , tougher , more gangster version of us wussy LA folks . I don't know if that is true , but I did have to wear all my clothes at once during one of those eighteen degree days .

Winter in LA means you get to put on a sweater . It is not lost on me that while most of the world are layering up/buttoning up/wrapping up their bodies and shielding themselves against mother nature , I am walking through downtown LA in December with my sweater and hot coffee talking about how it's starting to get a little chilly .
